How does the Geofence USA WordPress plugin work?
Geofence USA uses geofencing to automatically identify and block foreign traffic to WordPress sites originating from locations outside the United States. When a page is blocked an email message is sent to the Administration Email Address with details about the blocked visit.
Geofence USA has identified that as many as 99% of offshore visitors (as validated with AbuseIPDB) originate from bad actors trying to access or exploit vulnerabilities to WordPress and other websites. Unless your website or your advertisers have legitimate need to originate or receive traffic from overseas users, Geofence USA will drastically decrease and limit harmful exposure of WordPress sites to potential and active security threats.
